MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME (MM2H).
Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) is a program introduced by the Malaysian government to allow people from all over the world to live and retire in Malaysia. This program welcomes foreign citizens to enter and stay in Malaysia as long as possible.
Under this program you will receive a Social Visit Pass and Multiple Entry Visa from the Malaysia Department of Immigration. Both documents are valid for 5 years (and renewable) and allow you the freedom to enter and leave Malaysia whenever you wish. In fact, you may bring along your spouse and dependents.

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR MM2H?.
The My 2nd Home Malaysia program is open to all citizens of countries recognized by Malaysia regardless of race, religion, gender or age. Applicants are allowed to bring along their spouse and children (below 21 years old who is not married).

New changes to the MM2H scheme announced on August 2021. The scheme will be restart in October with new rules, including a significant hike to the income criteria, with visas now valid for only five years instead of 10 years.
Under the new rules, foreigners must prove they have liquid assets worth 1.5 million ringgit (US$354,000) – up from 350,000 ringgit for those above the age of 50, and 500,000 ringgit for those below the age of 50 – although 500,000 ringgit of the funds can be used for property, health care and school fees. They must also have a monthly offshore income of at least 40,000 ringgit (US$9,400) compared with 10,000 ringgit.

MM2H HOW TO APPLY?

1. Items 3-5 are also required if accompanied by spouse and children as dependants.
2. Dependants refer to children aged below 18 years old and not married.
3. Participants from selected countries who are entering Malaysia with Tourist Social Visit Pass prior to approval of Malaysia My Second Home programme are required to pay for Journey Performed Visa (JP) (RM500) . The payment should be make to Immigration Department Putrajaya before they get endorsement of Malaysia My Second Home Sticker in their passport.
4. Certification can be done by Notary Public/Commisioner of Oath/Government Official.
5. The processing and approval process will take 45 working days from the date of submission of the application (provided the documentation is complete ).

MM2H HOW TO APPLY?
Documents required:-
- Letter of Application (Cover Letter).
- Personal background and indicate your intention to join My Second Home program.
- With whom you wish to come ( single or with family).
- Briefly explain how you will support your stay in Malaysia (financial capabilities).
- Which financial criteria you wish to use; either Fixed Deposit OR monthly off-shore income (for 50 years and above). Only applicants drawing from Government Approved Funds will be considered to have fulfilled the "Monthly off - Shore Income" criteria.
- MM2H Application Form & Two (2) copies of Form IM.12 (Social Visit Pass Form).
- Two (2) passport-sized photographs.
- Personal bond (if applicants appointed sponsors).
- A certified copy of Passport / travel document (all pages).
- A certified copy of a Marriage Certificate (if accompanied by spouse).
- A certified copy (s) of birth certificate (if accompanied by Children).
- Resume with 10 years of working experience.
- A certified copy of latest bank statement /other related financial document to indicate the financial capability to support stay in Malaysia.
- At least 3 months certified copies of pay slip/pension slip/income statement etc.
